EER News - Viewing Update

From Africa...

In Africa,

For the past couple of days until the end of the week, I am in Ghana Africa looking at Xtra Gold.  The company has a gold prospect in the Kibi Greenstone belt in the South Eastern part of the country.  It isn’t exactly Safari country…that is in the North, but it is still beautiful country.

We landed 2 days ago in Accra, the capital, which is home to 2.5 million people.  I certainly was pleasantly surprised about the quality of living attained by most Ghanaians.  At a GDP per capita of 1200 USD, the people of this country are about on par with the Chinese, though in China, the disparity between the Rich and poor is much higher.

Yesterday was our real first day here and it was filled with a meeting with the CEO of the Mineral Commission and a tour of one of Accra’s outdoor markets.  Today we leave for the field and stay there for two days.

I’ll keep updating the website with some more commentary on Africa and what we are doing here until I leave.  As it stands now I have learned a lot about Africa, Ghana, and the Xtra Gold project.

Kind Regards,

Victor Goncalves
